Teen Book Trailer Series!

I am excited to announce that this September I will be teaching a Teen Book Trailer Series. You may be asking yourself, what is a book trailer? I am glad you asked! A book trailer is the equivalent to a movie preview/trailer, but it gives a preview of a book. Believe it or not, this is not a new phenomenon. Think of a popular book, search for it on Youtube.com, and chances are a book trailer has already been created. In fact, I have created a teen book trailer, and it is posted on Youtube (click here to view it). Okay, very embarrassing... so you can stop laughing now! Anyway, using personal experience (very personal), my book trailer series will teach you how to create a trailer of your own. The sessions will be on Tuesdays from 4-5pm at the Central Branch.

Session #1 September 22nd: Planning you trailer.
Session #2 September 29th: Learning how to use Windows Movie Maker.
Session #3 October 6th: Filming clips for your trailer.
Session #4 October 13th: Final production and editing.

On October 20th your final book trailer will premiere at the Teen Movie Night. Remember, to create a book trailer you must attend all four sessions. Please let me know if you are interested by emailing me at ssmith@marmot.org, calling 970-683-2411, or stopping by my office.
