Book Reviews...

Ruined
by Paula Morris
This was a fantastic ghost story and Halloween-season read! The story centers on Rebecca, an average teen who is uprooted from her life in New York to attend a private school in New Orleans. The South has a rich history, which unknown to Rebecca includes generations of her family. It is through a friendship with a ghost that she realizes how much the past matters. To learn about Rebecca's mysterious tie to the past, check out this book today!

Reluctant Heiress
by Eva Ibbotson
I love this author, so when I saw she had a new book on the shelves I could not resist checking it out. This author always writes teen historical romances. I will admit to liking this genre from time to time. This particular story takes place after the first world war. Tessa is a lively twenty-year-old who is thriving in Vienna as a wardrobe assistant in an opera house. Despite her lowly status in the opera company, Tessa grew up in a castle and is considered Austrian royalty. Due to the war and the family's crumbling finances, she is able to pursue her love of the arts. Needless to say, romance enters the picture in the form of a rich businessman. You can see where this is going, but I still think it is a worthy and enjoyable read. So check it out!
