Random thoughts about recent reads...

I should have read this months ago (or years): Ship Breaker by Paolo Bacigalupi, which was completely awesome! I knew it would be because I have met Paolo and he is such a cool guy. Also, it DID win the Printz Award (its the big one for teen lit). Please check it out!

Skip the audio version: Delirium by Lauren Oliver. The story was entertaining, but the person who read the book (an actress from Grey's Anatomy) made the main character sound completely whiney. Pick the actual book up!

Who chose this book cover?: Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi. I really loved this book (dystopian romance), but the book cover does not do it justice. Is the girl on the cover wearing a wedding dress? In my opinion, the cover should have reflected the bleakness of the world...dark, dank prison cell perhaps? Look for this book on the shelves in November.
