As 2011 winds down, I begin to think of 2012 and all of the awesome books that will be published. I have decided to list the top ten books that I am looking forward to in 2012. This is all just speculation, of course, based primarily on cover, summary, and author reputation.1. Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore- May 2012 (this was on my list last year, but it is being released in May. What a wait!)
2. The Selection by Kiera Cass- April 2012 (amazing cover, with a plot similar to Matched)
3. The Diviners by Libba Bray- November 2012 (I love this author, but I am slightly worried that the book won't actually come out in 2012)
4. The Traitor and the Tunnel by Y.S. Lee- February 2012 (loved books 1 and 2)
5. Chemical Garden #2: Fever by Lauren Destefano- February 2012
6. Drowned Cities by Paolo Bacigalupi- May 2012 (fantastic Colorado author!)
7. Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken- December 2012 (the release date seems so far away...)
8. Partials by Dan Wells- February 2012 (author of I Am Not a Serial Killer, should be good)
9. Dustlands #2: Rebel Heart by Moira Young- 2012 (author of Blood Red Road)
10. Letting Go by Tabitha Suzuma- August 2012 (my favorite book of 2011 was Forbidden, by this author)
